Privacy Statement

medialinq, located at Randstad 22-15, 1316 BN Almere, the Netherlands, and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42075501, is responsible for processing your personal data. For privacy questions or requests, email hallo@medialinq.io.

When you submit the contact form, we process your first name, last name, email address, organisation (optional) and your message. We also record the language you viewed the site in, the page you submitted the form from, and the date.

We use this data only to answer your question and keep track of our contact with you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to messages we receive. If your question concerns a possible assignment, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

We cannot reply without your name and email address. The other fields are optional. We do not use your data for newsletters or marketing, and we do not sell it. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

The web server records technical data: IP address, time, requested page and browser information. We do this based on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and resolving technical issues. We keep these logs for a maximum of 30 days.

If you choose a light or dark theme, your browser stores that choice on your own device. This information is not sent to us.

We use the following parties, with whom we have data processing agreements:

• HubSpot Ireland Ltd. (CRM), where contact requests are stored. The data is kept in HubSpot’s data centre in the European Union.
• Scaleway SAS, which hosts the website in a data centre in Amsterdam.

HubSpot is part of a US-based group. In limited cases, for example for technical support, data may be accessed from the United States. Such access is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep contact requests for up to 12 months after our last contact. If the contact leads to an assignment, we keep the data for as long as needed to carry it out. The statutory retention period of 7 years applies to our financial records.

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also ask us to restrict processing, object to processing, and request data portability. Send your request to hallo@medialinq.io. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
